Eastern coast protection: the plan for Grenville, Soubise and Marquis.

Ministry of Infrastructure · project-page photograph, not proof of completed works

Claim / question under review

What is the stated purpose of the coastal-works design-and-supervision project?

What the evidence says

The Ministry’s project page lists a 2024 start, an ongoing status, and Alpha Engineering & Design (2012) Ltd. It describes drainage and coastal-rehabilitation planning for Grenville, Soubise and Marquis, where flooding and erosion threaten the road and coastline.

The published aims include reducing flood risk, improving drainage capacity and stabilising the coast. A design-and-supervision listing does not prove all construction has been completed. Verify any later delivery claim against dated works or handover records.

The photograph comes from the Ministry’s project page. It is location context, not proof of a completed coastal defence.
